Smethwick Galton Bridge and Tunnel The bridge opened in 1829 and Thomas Telford described it as "extraordinary", it was so cool Isambard Kingdom Brunel popped down for a look. Love the way the tunnel appears to be on fire from the sunrise. #history #photography #localhistory #Birmingham

#Shernborne Village Hall, #Norfolk An #ArtsandCrafts style chalet, which was moved from a former location stone by stone. Originally built in 1908 as Queen Alexandra’s Bungalow at Shepherd’s Port, #Snettisham. Demolished in 1925 & materials used to build village hall. #LocalHistory #Royalty

On the subject of public baths and wash-houses, may I offer you Dundee Corporation's booklet from 1910. Miller's Wynd, left, had 24 plunge baths, 32 washing stalls, a blanket room and laundry. archive.org/details/b321... (also available from Wellcome). #skystorians #LocalHistory #Dundee
