This week marks 5 years since I published my first book We’re Not Broken: Changing the Autism Conversation. It wanted to shift how people talked about #Autism and #ActuallyAutistic people from treating them like a problem to humans who deserve dignity www.harpercollins.com/pro….

This is Jack. His father accompanies him on the guitar while he sings. He’s also autistic. I’m sure that his father worries about the future of a special needs child. I’m fighting for special needs kids, especially when healthcare is not a ‘right’ in this country. #ProudBlue #Autism

Please don't share videos or images of autistic children (or adults) having meltdowns. You likely wouldn't want someone exposing your most vulnerable moments without your permission, and autistic people deserve the same respect and privacy. Spread the word. #neurodiversity #autism #autistic

I’m trying to hack my brain with new positive behaviour pathways. Progress is slower than a geriatric mollusc but a better than nothing #autism #depression

As someone with autism, I’m tired of hearing the same false “causes” over and over Tylenol, vaccines, you name it. #Autism isn’t a conspiracy or a mystery to scare people about. If you want to understand, start by listening to us.
