United premium as strong as Delta, with 10 point gap vs coach on unit revenue. Globally all airlines chasing upscale travel boom: 50% of new $UAL capacity is premium. Why wealth matters so much to more & more consumer businesses. Donโ€™t look down! $DAL $AXP $RL $DIS $TPR $WSM

With retail reporting largely complete, picture of healthy consumer with most improvement at lower end & apparel strength. But shows how much Nike troubles are dragging on sporting goods retail globally at time of relative plenty. $NKE $ADDYY $DKS $DG $DLTR $BBY $WSM $URBN $ROST

Oof. โ˜ ๏ธ. That mirage-like Footlocker turnaround drags down another high flier after Mary Dillion as Dicks warns. But $DKS is cutting outlook for core brand too as Nike struggles drag on industry across-board driving higher promotions & lower margin. $NKE $ULTA $ADDYY

US retail sales ex autos/gas up very strong 5.6% y/y. Sheer breadth - every category up, even furniture after long run of weakness. Online stole show again +10% but very discretionary areas strong like eating out, electronics, sporting. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ $XLY $XRT $XLF $AMZN $WMT $WSM $BBY

Depot, Lowes paint picture of stable sales & margin in end-market hugely linked to (very low) housing turnover in ๐Ÿ‘ on US consumer. Store traffic still down offset by ticket. $LOW still (unusually) out-comping $HD although that gap shrank this Q. $XLY $XRT $XLF $WSM $W

Lots to like at Target: comp better & traffic up on 4-year stack. Inventory down 4 to 59 days, lowest in 2 years. But just as much, $TGT is read on strength of US consumer across board. Discretionary apparel, hardlines, beauty all outpaced total sales ๐Ÿ”ฅ $WMT $AMZN $XLY $XLF $XRT

Banks have been doing rounds regularly but $AXP again confirms strength across board with excellent credit quality & no sign of negative inflection. Q2 trending better than Q1, itself strongest in 3 years led by discretionary areas. $XLF $XLY $V $MA $TPR $RL $WSM

Given Sonoma strong run, almost no print would be strong enough but another phenom 'compounding on compounding 'Q by $WSM. Comps on fire at all brands despite tariffs, housing. Lifts sales & margin guide above street despite higher tax drag. Alber just fantastic. $XRT $RH

All categories up bar home. Even latter hazy, given strength at $WSM & $TJX. Notable that restaurants are underperforming - keep that in mind when folks use $MCD et al as signal that US consumer is weak - clearly a category issue not a consumer issue. $XLY $XLF

Another very strong US retail sales report, confirming Redbook & what we've heard from most companies. +5.6% ex autos/gas, led by discretionary areas including electronics, DIY & apparel. And online at +12% is booming. ๐Ÿ”ฅ $XLF $XLY $AMZN $WMT $URBN $IDEXF $HD $LOW $BBY $M

Upscale consumer helps but ultimately only powerful brands & product deliver consistent strength. Vs peers from $W to $RH to $ARHS, who keep cyring macros, $WSM keeps delivering. And transformation in profitability delivers on cashflow. Over past year alone $1bn+ in buybacks. ๐Ÿซก

Friedman keeps insisting $RH has no price resistance. Complains about how promotional everyone else is. Yet sends a 70% off email virtually everyday & $RH gross margin down 200bp ex tariff refunds. Gets away with it too every time, at least with vacuous sell-side. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ $WSM

Rarely use Shah/Wayfair as pointers to health of consumers (and what does it say when best growth since 2020 for $AMZN of furniture is +9%), but note comments about strong sequential growth in Q2 as well as outsized growth in higher-end product. $W $WSM $RH $ETD $ARHS $XLY

Redbook retail sales growth hit new 1-year & 3-year highs of +10%, continuing a significant pick-up since April. Quibble with their methodology if you wish but consistent. Still no sign of US consumer flagging ๐Ÿ”ฅ $XLY $XRT $XLF $WMT $AMZN $WSM $TJX $ROST $TGT $ULTA $V $MA $AXP

$COST clearly plays in the mid-to-upper end of K-shape but worth noting strength in premium meat. And comment that members are 'splurging' on higher-value personal care. More pointers US consumers pretty chipper in contrast to UMich. $V $MA $WSM $BBY $DKS $XLY $XLF
