RH: ".. Ultra-high net worth consumers with a net worth above $20 million own, on average, 3.7 homes. Billionaires own ten. Ultra-high net worth consumers spend 6.4 times more on home furnishings than a consumer with a single primary residence." (via B of A desk) $RH

Given Sonoma strong run, almost no print would be strong enough but another phenom 'compounding on compounding 'Q by $WSM. Comps on fire at all brands despite tariffs, housing. Lifts sales & margin guide above street despite higher tax drag. Alber just fantastic. $XRT $RH

Upscale consumer helps but ultimately only powerful brands & product deliver consistent strength. Vs peers from $W to $RH to $ARHS, who keep cyring macros, $WSM keeps delivering. And transformation in profitability delivers on cashflow. Over past year alone $1bn+ in buybacks. ๐Ÿซก

Friedman keeps insisting $RH has no price resistance. Complains about how promotional everyone else is. Yet sends a 70% off email virtually everyday & $RH gross margin down 200bp ex tariff refunds. Gets away with it too every time, at least with vacuous sell-side. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ $WSM

Rarely use Shah/Wayfair as pointers to health of consumers (and what does it say when best growth since 2020 for $AMZN of furniture is +9%), but note comments about strong sequential growth in Q2 as well as outsized growth in higher-end product. $W $WSM $RH $ETD $ARHS $XLY

This quote from Alber at Williams Sonoma really resonates. $WSM does not get credit it should - a compounding machine despite everything thrown at it. Q1 sales +45% vs 2019 & margin transformed from 7% to 16%. Yet whole way, sceptics have said collapse is around corner. $RH $ARHS

Here we go again. Arhaus CEO cites how happy he is with desirability/success of $ARHS offer at high-end & at the same time, CFO says in response to snowstorms, they pulled promo trigger yet again. Oh & wrote off a ton of failed product ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ $RH $WSM

Sonoma says home furnishings market flat this Q but $WSM grew both furniture & non-furniture = 6.2% comp all share gain: acceleration both in-store & web, sign of brand heat. Says chasing inventory to meet demand. B2B also accelerated +15% as initiative working. $RH $ARHS $ETD

All three major Sonoma brands comped at 5% or more with comp accelerating on 2 & 3 year stacks, showing significant brand heat. Guide confidence also evident in gift card revenue +7%, yet inventory well-managed only +1%, helping Q2 operating cash flow +34%. $WSM $RH $ARHS $XRT

Solid Q at Williams Sonoma, with strengthening comp at all divisions bar Pottery Barn. This in Q when home furnishings/furniture were very weak per census. Laura Alber IMHO is hands down best CEO in US retail but $WSM still among least well regarded $ARHS $TJX $M $RH $XLY $XLF t.co/QvSbtYrO0O

So latest datapoint from a small but big-ticket-heavy retailer, Ethan Allen. January orders flipped positive & note tone on consumer relative to vs Tuesday's doomsday confidence report. Watch what folks do, not what they say... $ETD $RH $WSM $XLF $XLY $V $MA $AXP
