It takes all of us to provide safe care for noncommunicable diseases — from the people living with chronic conditions, to their health workers, carers, and community. Everyone has a role to play. Here's how. #WorldPatientSafetyDay

If it isn’t safe, it isn’t care. For people living with heart disease, cancer, diabetes or chronic respiratory disease, care is lifelong. A delayed diagnosis, wrong medicine, unsafe procedure or poor communication can cost lives. Everyone deserves safe care, for life. #WorldPatientSafetyDay

(...) Cleaner air, ventilation, filtration, respirators, and improved infection prevention policies all matter. Patients should be able to seek care without leaving with a new illness. Healthcare includes preventing the next infection. #WorldPatientSafetyDay #PatientSafety #LongCOVID

On #WorldPatientSafetyDay, we are highlighting a simple but essential part of safer healthcare: 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲. At Mater Dei Hospital - Malta’s main tertiary care hospital, ECDC’s hyFive app has been introduced to support hand hygiene monitoring in everyday clinical practice. #IDsky #EpiSky
