As expected, still no electricity & rain water has come into the house in at least 1 bedroom. Carpet is wet. My insurance has a high deductible cuz I needed lower payments. Called Red Cross for help/resources & should get a call in a lil bit. #TropicalStormEdouard

Power outage due to Tropical Storm Edouard. I’m already overheating 🥵 even if it’s cooled down. Windows open. Outages from me to the coast about an hour and a half or so away. I don’t think our power will be up soon.

Red Cross hasn’t called me yet. That I know of. They were supposed to call me by 6:45, it’s 10:50. I’ve been awake since 6am or 5 I don’t remember anymore too many alerts and text messages were coming in this morning until the phone stopped working too #TropicalStormEdouard

I used towels to try to soak up some of the water. I started in the middle then to the left then right And back to the middle and it was like I hadn’t done anything at all to the middle part. It’s useless. I have a fan to blow the carpet dry but NO electricity. #TropicalStormEdouard
