Star of the show on 25th July was a superb Ni moth to MV. Platytes alpinella , Bucculatrix thoracella/ Lime Tuft and Shore Wainscot were among nfys. Another Evergestis extimalis, having a good year here. While Small Mottled Willow (32) continue their march on #norfolkmoths #teammoth #migrantmothuk

Bedstraw Hawk-moth the absolute star of our trap in Fair Isle last night, about the 15th record for the Isle. Technically the highlight though was Common Carpet; first for Fair Isle and just the 6th for VC112 Shetland. Overall 234/19, dominated by 114 Diamond-back Moths. #TeamMoth #MigrantMothUK

And just when you're left wondering, is it worth the effort, the answer flies in out of the darkness. Assumed migrant, Oncocera semirubella - Rosy Knot-horn. What a moth! Oo-la-la! #teammoth #norfolkmoths #MigrantMothUK

I finally caught up with the moth I've most wanted to catch - Levant Blackneck (T. exsiccata). It may not be a looker but the fact that it mostly flies in winter and travelled all the way from North Africa, has always fascinated me. St Mellion, Cornwall on 29/11. #teammoth #migrantmothuk
