Do look out for the amazing Striped Hawk-moth! David Brown has managed to trap 2 in his Charlecote garden trap recently! He posted β€œI really hope others would catch some....they are clearly around...Keep trapping and check flowers in your gardens at dusk. Good luck...fingers crossed !” #TeamMoth

Finding a Sallow Kitten NFY in my trap this morning was a purr-fect way to start the day. It's only the second I've ever seen. A Straw Underwing was also new for the year. #teammoth

I started moth trapping in August and for a tiny suburban garden I’m amazed what I’ve seen, this is a treble brown spot from early October. #teammoth #mothsmatter

I was trying to think of a favourite photo from this year, and this face-on shot of a Drinker came to mind. This moth piqued my interest because of its unusual appearance in comparison to other #moths I'd seen this year. It wasn't easy to photograph. It was incredibly lively. #teammoth

An Elephant Hawk-moth from a few years back. Going through old, unused shots that didn't make the cut at the time is currently the only way to get my moth-fix. #teammoth

This handsome beast is the larva of the spurge hawkmoth (Hyles euphorbiae) of Europe, Asia & N. America. It feeds on Ephorbia spp., sequestering toxic diterpenes from its host. πŸ“·: Wolfgang Ahlmer CCBY4. #Euphorbiaceae #Aposematism #TeamMoth #Botany 🌾πŸ§ͺ🌱
