Today I showered. And I mixed a meatloaf. These previously each alone would have been A LOT in one day. I also put the meatloaf in the oven and microwaved potatoes and peas. I got help putting food on plates and taking the meatloaf out of the oven. But look what I did! #MECFS #LongCovid

I am just a microscopist with social anxiety. But seeing #Covid impact on the brain through the lenses of the microscope has affected me. It’s hard not to feel for the millions sick everywhere. Below is a 2021 video about our research. Can we please keep talking about #LongCovid?

The idea that #LongCovid is somehow “disputed at best” is ignorant at best, and at worst a mean lie. It’s not disputed, either that it is a physical illness or that it derives from having COVID 19 by my GP, neurologist, endocrinologist, cardiologist, health insurer, government, the EU or the WHO.

It is so outrageously ableist to say we should ban masks & stop people from protecting their health & the health of those around you. COVID is still spreading. People are still dying from COVID. Millions of people are struggling with #LongCOVID. And COVID is just one of many reasons to mask

I can't believe receiving messages like this is the new normal! This one (shared with permission) was written by a young white man working in the healthcare sector - for those who believe #LongCovid only affects sobre groups. You can delete CDC files, but you can't delete sick people.💔
Message that reads: Hi Danielle,
How are you?

Can I donate my brain for scientific research?
I had 3 severe Covid 19 infections and after the last one i developed disseminated mucormycosis with CNS involvement. I have a lot of fungal fragments in my brain. It would be good to see it and educate medical doctors and the broader community.

My kidneys failed 3 times after Ambisome so I was not able to clear the infection. I am on life long isavuconazole treatment. I may last few more months.
