Remember when I was bemoaning this & that and said, Gee, really want to buy a new #fountainpen, but maybe I'll just get ink instead. Well, I've never owned a #Lamy ! So I got two! Violet Blackberry and Alster Firey, both limited.

I tried applying maki-e to my black Lamy Safari. I sprinkled gold into the recessed part of the logo and simply placed a ladybug using the "taka maki-e" technique.
