They also support #Rosebank and #Jackdaw drilling. Davey is just trashing their reputation on environment. We're still mid-drought, trees are dying in front of our eyes. This is not only retrograde, backward-looking politics... it's going to cost them a lot of votes. Cameron dressed in orange.

Now that @eddavey.libdems.org.uk has given his support to the Shell UK #Jackdaw greenhouse gas emissions project, of course the Labour government are going to approve the licence. The Lib Dems put their middle class comfort ahead of their duty to save young people from chaos, suffering and death.

Everyone of course realises that Ed Davey's crass intervention regarding the UK #NorthSea #Jackdaw gas field has almost certainly sealed its fate as far as Andy Burnham and Miatta Fahnbulleh are concerned. Who'd have thought it would be @eddavey.libdems.org.uk, of all people, who rubber-stamped it?

👎Absolutely NOT while leadership supports #Jackdaw and #Rosebank. The cognitive dissonance on climate - the single biggest issue of this generation - must be wild. @eddavey.libdems.org.uk 🫵 needs to get a grip, and @munirawilson.bsky.social does NOT currently get my vote because of this.

Politicians like @eddavey.libdems.org.uk and other people who think that oil & gas from the #NorthSea #Jackdaw and Shetland #Rosebank fields will substitute for imported fossil hydrocarbons, or are necessary during the energy transition are sorely mistaken.

Hilarious. You know what else @eddavey.libdems.org.uk and @libdems.org.uk have fried today? Their credibility regarding climate change and the threat it poses to human, national and collective security by backing the #Jackdaw fossil gas field development in the #NorthSea.

FYI @miattafahnbulleh.bsky.social is here, but has never responded to any of my messages on this topic. My MP, @munirawilson.bsky.social, initial non-responses gave way, bizarrely, to support for #Rosebank and #Jackdaw. For a clearly intelligent politician, the cognitive dissonance must be raging.

It would make sense then, that Burnham announces full, permanent veto of: #HeathrowExpansion #Jackdaw #Rosebank It would also be logical to ensure a robust and resilient public water supply service and domestic energy supply networks *before* allowing large new commercial users (many data centres).
