Do you remember when I sliced the side of a giant strawberry and put it into potting soil? It took a long time for it to grow. I had 3 little plants that went into a container and eventually into the garden bed. They have exploded and are fruiting. I ate the first one yesterday! #growyourownfood

A garden bed filled with strawberries and have produced a lot! The tall green things are garlic. It’s a good companion plant for strawberries. The garden bed has a netting over a frame to protect from the birds and squirrels!

It’s garlic harvest day! I have 60 hard necks and 91 soft necks hung up and curing. #growyourownfood #organic #gardening

The hard neck garlic is on the top where I wove a gauze wrap around them so they don’t fall in the wind. The soft necks are below hanging on an old dry rack that is blue. I’m waiting for the soft necks to mellow out a bit so I can braid the bunches. The seed garlic is on the very end of each variety. I’ll use those to plant in late November.
