Unser Sohn Fabian (34) wurde Freitagnacht nach seinem Rückflug und einem 7tägigen Besuch in D am Boston Logan Airport festgehalten. Er hatte alle erforderlichen Papiere. Deutschen Pass, Green Card alles ok.
Gegen ihn läuft kein Gerichtsverfahren oder sonst irgendetwas.
Heute erhielt ich den ersten Anruf von Fabian seit Freitag. Er wurde vom Boston Logan Detention Center in ein anderes in Rhode Island verlegt. Während seines Aufenthalts im Boston Detention Center wurde er gefoltert, ihm wurde der Schlaf entzogen und er wurde mit anderen Gewalttaten konfrontiert. Wegen Schlafentzug brach er zusammen und musste zur Behandlung ins medizinische Zentrum gebracht werden. Als er von dort zurückkam, setzten ihn zwei Beamte unter die Dusche und bespritzten ihn mit eiskaltem Wasser. Er bekam kaum etwas zu essen. Er wurde mehrmals verhört und aufgefordert, seine Green Card abzugeben.
Wir stehen mit dem deutschen Konsulat in Kontakt.
Wir haben einen Einwanderungsanwalt mit seiner „Verteidigung" (für was?) beauftragt. Wir versuchen auch, eine Kaution für ihn im Einwanderungsverfahren zu bekommen. Das passiert wirklich und ist echt kein Witz oder schlechte Presse.
Mein Sohn hat mich gebeten, zu teilen was ihm hier passiert, damit die Welt Bescheid weiß. Er fürchtet um sein Leben.
Wir leben seit 2007 in den USA als unbescholtene ganz normale Leute.

Our son Fabian (34) was detained at Boston Logan Airport Friday night after his return flight and a seven-day visit to Germany. He had all the necessary papers: German passport, Green Card, everything was in order.
There are no legal proceedings or anything else pending against him.
Today I received the first call from Fabian since Friday. He was transferred from the Boston Logan Detention Center to another one in Rhode Island. During his stay at the Boston Detention Center, he was tortured, sleep deprived, and subjected to other acts of violence. Due to sleep deprivation, he collapsed and had to be taken to the medical center for treatment. When he returned from there, two officers put him in a shower and sprayed him with ice-cold water. He was given barely anything to eat. He was interrogated several times and asked to surrender his Green Card.
We are in contact with the German Consulate.
We've hired an immigration attorney to "defend" him (for what?). We're also trying to get bail for him in the immigration proceedings. This is really happening, and it's not a joke or bad press.
My son asked me to share what's happening to him here so the world knows. He fears for his life.
We've been living in the US since 2007 as normal, upstanding people.

Remember only ~33% of #Indian Americans in US were born in the US. Do you know how many of those people were born to parents who were on #visas? You know how long it takes for an Indian to get a #greencard, let alone US citizenship? 20 years minimum ~30% of U.S. #immigrant doctors are #SouthAsian
