Two weeks ago we were told the severity of Lola's condition meant that she had only a 60% chance of using her back legs again.
Luckily Lola has no concept of statistics because today she stood up for the first time since spine surgery.
My little warrior WILL walk again.

We adopted another rescue dog! Over 6 months ago one of our pups passed away from degenerative spine disease. We were shattered (still are). This week we adopted Nova. She was abandoned in a 'tiny house encampment' and was taken to the Seattle Animal Shelter. Welcome to the family Nova!!

Look at my little Lola's legs go!
Two months ago she was paralysed. But after an operation, weeks of physio, and all the love in the world... she can walk a little in her support harness.
We still have a long road ahead of us, but there is nothing I wouldn't do for her.

Been a bit of stressful week. We found a lump on Ripley's leg, vet confirmed a tumour, BUT it is not cancer and can be treated with antibiotics. It's already a lot smaller than it was. The relief is immeasurable, and of course all she wants in another treat.
