Have you ever taken a photo that you were so excited to see if it turned out that you just left? This is, unquestionably, unequivocally the best unedited image I have ever taken. 100% unmanipulated. No filters, no edits—just pure, incredible timing. #birds #photography #photo #EastCoastKin #heron
A striking close-up of a Great Blue Heron, its sharp yellow eye gazing intently to the right. The heron's long, vibrant orange beak extends gracefully, contrasting with the soft, intricate layers of gray and white feathers covering its body. Delicate black plumes extend from the back of its head, adding to its regal appearance. The background is a mesmerizing blur of circular bokeh, created by light filtering through branches and reflecting off the water, giving the scene a dreamy, almost magical atmosphere. The heron stands still, exuding an air of quiet confidence and elegance. This is an unedited, raw capture, showcasing the bird’s natural beauty in stunning detail.

On a walk around #Conwy yesterday, I spotted something I hadn't noticed before. This magnificent #Gothic railway arch, built in 1840, through the #Medieval walls. It even continues the castellated parapet! Zoom in, and you can see where bits were chipped away as trains got bigger! #photograph #photo

Gouldian Finch (Erythrura gouldiae)...Mother Nature was working with a 'no such thing as too much' philosophy the day she designed this finch...native to a very specific & shrinking corridor across Northern Australia. Though a popular pet bird. #bird #photo #nature #biology #wildlife
Gouldian Finch perched on a textured, tan branch. The bird is a vibrant collage of saturated colors: a bright red face, a deep purple chest, and a brilliant yellow belly, with a leafy green back and wings. A thin turquoise band wraps around the back of its head, and its sturdy beak is a clean, ivory white. The background consists of soft-focus green leaves and light-colored stalks, making the bird’s sharp, multi-colored plumage stand out vividly.
