Here’s Myth #2 in our series designed to help everyone understand key issues — and have solid talking points. 💬 Can Alberta just vote to leave Canada by 2027? 🧠 Not without negotiations, consent & constitutional change. 📌 The Clarity Act isn’t a suggestion. #cdnpoli #ableg #ClarityAct #GiveVoices
A digital infographic styled like a political LEGO meme debunks "Myth #2: Alberta Can Just Vote to Leave by 2027."

Top Section:
A LEGO minifigure in a suit and tie stands in an office setting with a clock and window behind him. A red speech bubble juts into the panel, with the title:
MYTH #2
"We’ll vote to leave Canada in 2027 and be free!"

Middle Left Panel (Yellow – Talking Point):
"You can’t just vote to leave Canada. The Clarity Act requires a clear majority, federal negotiation, Indigenous consent, and constitutional amendments.
It’s a long, legal, democratic process — not a unilateral declaration."

Middle Right Panel (Blue – Reality):
"You can’t separate without negotiation, Indigenous consent, and constitutional change.
📌 The Clarity Act isn’t a suggestion — it’s binding law."

A red pushpin icon appears before the Clarity Act quote.

Middle Banner (Beige – Debate Question):
A round dark brown icon with a white question mark appears beside the bolded text:
“Which part of the Clarity Act lets Alberta leave on its own?”

Bottom Section (Light Tan – Breakdown):
🧠 BREAKDOWN
"The Clarity Act (2000) outlines the conditions under which a province may begin the process of separation.

A successful referendum must have a clear question and result in a clear majority. But that alone is not enough.

The federal government must agree to negotiate, and Indigenous nations hold constitutionally protected rights that must be respected.

Separation would require amending the Constitution — which means buy-in from the rest of Canada. It’s not simple, and it’s certainly not fast."

Thanks to Ruben Gallego and 6 other Senate Dems for blocking a flawed crypto bill Sept. 15 — CLARITY still lets officials like Trump profit off an industry they'd regulate. Tell Gallego: keep the ethics rules strong. Phoenix (480) 697-3600 / DC (202) 224-4521 #CLARITYAct #CryptoAccountability
A bold red graphic with white uppercase text reading “Tell your senators: Stop Trump’s crypto corruption.” Below the text is a stack of gold coins, with the front coin featuring a stylized portrait of Donald Trump. The Indivisible logo appears at the bottom.
