After a full audit triggered by the extreme disparity between campaigning vs apparent votes, #Quartz won by a margin of 2 votes over #Asagiite. Please don’t ballot-stuff. #MinCup26 is about about joy, curiosity, & shared enthusiasm. Forcing a win is unfair to the minerals.

I really didn’t think #Asagiite would stand a chance? Instead of being absolutely slammed, it’s in the lead and I’m feeling forlorn fine poor #quartz. Quartz is legit cool enough I could write totally different themes every #MinCup26 round & still have leftovers.

Based on the #MinCup26 picture, #Asagiite is prettier, but my favorite color is purple, and amethyst is a variety of #Quartz! I'm #TeamQuartz for this round.

I'm going with #quartz this round of #MinCup26. Even though it doesn't produce laser light, quartz IS a very important optical material. You can easily use it to make the windows and mirrors and lenses in your laser. Never met #asagiite, laser potential seems unlikely.

It’s interesting. The vast majority of #MinCup26 campaigning is for #Quartz with just a handful for #Asagiite across platforms. Asagiite’s is mostly focused on novelty and aesthetics, while quartz’s supporters are covering physics, art, prehistory, utility, & more. Yet the votes are near-tied.
