Union of B.C. Municipalities delegates have greenlit a motion calling on the province to allow wheelchairs and mobility scooters to be used in bike lanes.

This is an issue in Alberta too. Wheelchairs and power wheelchairs are classified as walking and aren’t permitted in cycle tracks/bike lanes on the street.
Alberta should change this law as well. It’s not enforced anyway! Bring wheelchair users into the fold of active mobility. 👍
