Let’s let #BeyondTheGates #BTG stand on its own without comparing it to #YandR #YR or other soaps. BTG is a great new show, storylines are good, stylists are great, actors are good…they don’t need comparison & started STRONG for a brand new soap opera.

Yeah… #BeyondTheGates #BTG is definitely some people’s first soap opera because the way some of these people on the BTG pages are trying to use real world logic and apply it to these storylines lets me know they have NEVER watched #YandR or #DaysOfOurLives and certainly not #Passions 🤣🤣🤣

I need Sharon to stop trying to get forgiveness for Phyllis’ spawn. They forgave their mom for allowing them to believe she was dead just to frame Diane…and she wasn’t being drugged. #YR #YandR

📰 Soap Opera Digest - Feb 14, 1984 Susan Seaforth Hayes speaks of survival. Deidre Hall and Velekka Gray speak of secrets. “Every soap plot is based on a secret or a lie.” This wasn’t just daytime drama—it was emotional archaeology. #SoapHistory #VelekkaGray #DeidreHall #SusanSeaforthHayes #YandR
Magazine clipping from Soap Opera Digest – February 14, 1984 featuring Bill and Susan Hayes, known for their iconic roles as Doug and Julie Williams on Days of Our Lives. The article recounts their twelve-year journey together on the show and in real life, beginning with on-screen love scenes that sparked a genuine romance. Includes a photograph of the couple, with Susan smiling warmly. The text highlights their shared interests in theater, travel, history, and art, and notes their desire to explore projects beyond acting. Susan reflects on their relationship: “We have a lot of fun and we laugh a lot,” adding that they meet in London every few weeks between movie shoots.

Left page includes a photo of the actresses in conversation and a brief career overview. Right page contains candid dialogue about their early modeling days, marriages, and personal growth. A smaller photo shows Marlena and Roman’s wedding scene from Days. The conversation reflects mutual admiration and emotional resilience.
Continuation of the “Person to Person” interview from Soap Opera Digest – February 14, 1984. Deidre Hall and Velekka Gray discuss independence, divorce, and learning to stand on their own. A highlighted quote from Deidre: “It doesn’t mean you can’t have all the good things in life, but you have to be able to stand on your own two feet.” The dialogue is emotionally intimate and affirming, capturing the strength and vulnerability of two soap veterans reflecting on life beyond the screen.

If we keep it honest…things would have been a lot more interesting & the characters would’ve been a lot more fiery if Adam & Audra were together. If not lovers then partners in crime so to speak. I’m ok with Nate, but much potential was lost on her when they stuck her with Kyle. #YR #YandR

The level of IDGAF in Sharon’s eyes when Phyllis is talking is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 #YR #YandR

The way Audra put Kyle & Diane in their place real fast with the nepo baby & “married into” comment….that’s my kind of homegirl right there! She told not one lie…not one. That’s why Jack couldn’t do anything except smirk when she said it 🤣 #YR #YandR
