This day last year: All Saints Templetown, #Wexford opened 1899, replacing the nearby 1795 Chapel. At some point between then & now someone got bored during Mass. Many people who lived in this parish made their living from the sea.

Our picture shows a freshly made homemade strawberry cream tart sitting on a dark kitchen countertop.

At the centre is a round tart with a golden-brown, fluted pastry crust. The crust looks slightly crumbly and crisp, with ridged edges that catch the light. Inside the crust is a thick layer of soft, white whipped cream, spread evenly across the base.

On top of the cream, bright red strawberries are arranged beautifully. Around the outer edge, the strawberries are sliced lengthwise and placed in a neat circular pattern, each piece slightly overlapping the next like petals of a flower.

Toward the middle, the strawberries are chopped into smaller chunks and piled generously, creating a mound of juicy fruit. The strawberries glisten slightly, as if freshly cut, with their seeds visible and their surfaces shiny.

The colours are vivid. Deep reds against the clean white cream and the warm golden crust making the tart look fresh and inviting.

The strawberries are from County Wexford, an area famous for its sweet, seasonal fruit, especially strawberries.

The tart sits on a dark plate, which blends into the countertop, helping the bright dessert stand out.

In the softly blurred background, you can make out parts of a kitchen,containers and appliances but they are out of focus, keeping all attention on the tart itself.

Overall, it gives the impression of a carefully made, summery dessert. Fresh, creamy, and bursting with natural sweetness.

Finally, our picture is finished with a simple white border frame.
