I built a procedural medieval island map generator using Wave Function Collapse on hex grids. 4,100 cells, 900 possible states per cell, 60fps on mobile. Wrote up the whole process with lessons learned. Links below 👇 #threejs #webgpu

Trying to improve my galaxy renderer. Getting realistic arms, dust lanes, HII complexes and filamentary structures, while keeping it fully interactive is really hard! I'm not quite satisfied with the result. Any tips or help welcome! 🔭 #astronomy #astrovis #webgpu

I've landed the last change needed to enable #WebGPU by default on Samsung devices with an Xclipse GPU (mobile RDNA)! Should be available in Chrome 153, which will be stable in September. These GPUs are most common in Europe, but there are some in other markets (like the Galaxy S25 FE in the US).

Ported my (free) MacOS and iOS voxel editor to run on the web. Still free. No sign up or anything, your art is saved locally in the browser. Can import and export from MagicaVoxel. voxeleditor.net Probably still a few snags, let me know if you run into any. #indiedev #gamedev #webgpu #typescript

Proud of myself today. What started as a simple infinite-grid shader turned into a month-long journey through rendering, maths, and plenty of frustration—but I finally got it working. I wrote about everything I learned: willofindie.com/proj/infi…. #webgpu #rustlang #glsl #realtimerendering

WebGPU/WebXR integration is ready for developers to start testing in Chrome canary! Available on Windows and Android with a couple of small example pages to get you started. Please give it a try, file bugs, and give us feedback! #WebGPU #WebXR

I'm back to working on my water simulator for interactive experiences using #threejs. This time, I'm experimenting with #WebGPU and #TSL for better performance. The link and potentially a tutorial will be available soon. Current version is available here: water-simulation.vercel.app
