Two birds on a branch, actually four birds in total. They look to be cousins of the Raven, but the one on the left has tail feathers that resemble a peacock …I'll have some of what the artist is having 😊

We're in the hills above Valparaíso, there are endless alleys and streets that are an endless canvas of brilliant colour.

Two Pelicans stand on a cement wall while Seagulls sit on yellow railings and steel fences behind them. Below the bridge, a Sea Lion can be seen, in silhouette, doing Yoga, while another lays in the sand next to them. The common theme is "looking for their next meal". We're at the Playa Caleta Portales Fish Market: They will all get fed shortly as another smorgasbord of entrails gets dumped. It's a feathered ballet of competing beaks, and blubber.

The view off the back of our Inn. It's 9:00 PM, the dark blue sky sits over what appears to be a quiet evening around this neighbourhood. The city lights silently twinkle around the bay. The illusion shatters as you walk out the front door.

Valparaíso was originally named after Valparaíso de Arriba, in Castile-La Mancha, Spain.

Different types of craft —fishing boats, oceanic cargo ships, tourism skiffs, pleasure boats— are anchored together in happy promiscuity in the Valparaíso harbor, with a myriad of shapes and colors. It's a sunny, warm day. A few low clouds cross the blue sky. On the nearest touristic boat, a group of people awaits the cast off to motor around the harbor.
