Great goal from Lankshear after Berhalter nodded back. Joseph looks a handful too. Malanda looked Viera like at times bringing the ball forward and got back when it mattered. Few nervy moments but not as panicky as last year. Sarmiento looked bright and Castledine confident. Positive start #utb

Arfsten started well but faded. Berhalter promising. Lankshear: brilliant goal. Castledine full of running. Malanda back to his early elegant poise. Joseph full of running & very physical when he came on. Decent start. What a team. #UTB #Boro

FT: 1-0. Wembley here we come. Both sides had massive chances in an otherwise creaky first 45, #Boro much better after the break. Assertive, aggressive, crisper, pushed higher up. Some decent chances, great goal & hit the post. A few still need minutes but a decent show. #UTB

Malanda excellent, promising performances from Borges, Berhalter and Lankshear, Sarmiento must have had a rocket at half time because he was miles better afterwards and Joseph a lovely cameo off the bench. Bit more width needed at times but did just about enough #utb
