Ukrainian drone attacks spark fires at Wildberries warehouses, causing major losses and disrupting logistics
Ukrainian drones struck a Wildberries warehouse in Yekaterinburg early Friday, August 7, sparking a fire at the facility, according to the company’s press service . Employees at the logistics center had been evacuated in advance, and shipments were redirected to other warehouses, the company added. Denis Pasler, governor of the Sverdlovsk region, said air defense forces shot down eight drones, but three crash-landed on the warehouse roof. He also emphasized that no one was injured. Artyom Zhoga, the presidential envoy to the Ural Federal District, confirmed that 800 people were evacuated from the warehouse. This marks the second attack on a Wildberries logistics center in Yekaterinburg by Ukrainian forces in the past two weeks. On July 25, the facility was forced to suspend operations following a drone strike that hit a nearby parking lot. Official reports noted no injuries. At the time, the regional governor said that as a result of "drone debris" falling on the parking area near the warehouse, cars caught fire across approximately 300 square meters. The Yekaterinburg Wildberries warehouse is one of the marketplace’s largest logistics centers, covering around 150,000 square meters. According to the company, up to 3 million goods are processed at the facility every day, with storage space for up to 120 million items. Ukraine’s armed forces have been targeting Wildberries warehouses since July 18, 2026. According to the news outlet Verstka , by early August, the total area of attacked warehouses had surpassed 1.5 million square meters-27% of the company’s warehouse capacity. More than 20 logistics centers across St. Petersburg, Tula, Elektrostal, Krasnodar, and Nevinnomyssk have come under attack, with at least 14 destroyed by fire.
