30 days with a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) & wow this is life-changing I have access to my blood sugar levels 24/7. Im learning so much about my own #type1diabetes, which positively impacts my health Cant wait til we find a cure to #t1d but I'm happy we have access to this technology for now💙
Nukkuler showing off her continuous glucose monitor, a little circular device on her arm. She is using the Dexcom G7.

Last night my dexcom alarm went off like a million times, and while I appreciate it AND it was correct that my blood sugar kept going low, today I woke up feeling like I had a bad hangover. Anyone else having one of those days? 🩵 #type1diabetes #bloodsugar

Guess whose HbA1c (average blood glucose for the last 2-3 months) has gone from 86 at diagnosis in May to 48! (For folks using the other measurement system, it's gone from 10% to 6.5%.) Really lovely endocrinologist, and she was very pleased with my progress. #T1D #Type1Diabetes
Image description: a chart for HbA1c, showing risk rating of diabetic complications.

42-57 mmol/mol is in green for Low, with the comments, "Excellent diabetes control!" and, "You're doing great!"

57-76 is yellow for medium risk, with the comment, "Need a little help?"

76-86 is dark pink, with the comment, "It's time to make changes."

86-119 is red for high risk, with, "You're at risk for DKA. Let is help you now!!"

DKA stands for diabetic ketoacidosis, which is life-threatening and usually requires hospitalisation. I was lucky to get diagnosed before I developed DKA.
