Layan Nasir, member of St. Peter’s #Anglican church in Birzeit in the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, is finally free from prison. She has not been able to see her family for eight months and she was never charged with a crime. #TEC has been advocating for her release.

Incredible news. Layan Nasir has been freed. Eight months of painful detention is over and the family can live again. Thanks be to God!

Every time someone posts about wanting their local #tec church to offer Eucharist on Feast Days (or every day), I wince as I think about asking anything more of our exhausted rector who is already stretched too thin (and the other very overburdened clergy I know), as much as I too would love that! +
