Banning #smartphones in over 400 schools led to: -decreased psychological symptoms among girls by 29% -decreased bullying by boys and girls by 43% -increased GPA among girls by .08 SDs Effects were larger for girls from low SES families openaccess.nhh.no/nhh-xml….

Nochmal zwischendurch der Hinweis auf den #Warntag in diesem Jahr, der am 12.09.2024 stattfinden wird. Die #Sicherheit der Menschen in 🇩🇪 ist wichtig und dazu gehört eine gut funktionierende #Warnung mit #Sirenen, #Smartphones, etc. Übung hat selten geschadet... Darf gerne geteilt werden - Danke!

A key point 20+ years ago, many were convinced mobile phones cause brain tumours? Then billions of people got a phone. Even if just 1% of phone users developed tumours we'd have seen hundreds of millions more tumours. We didn't #smartphones #tech #wellbeing /1

Haidt basically admits his own analysis of the literature was sloppy, and he promises an actual rigorous meta-study in the works. Thing is, if what he argued is true, it shouldn't be something that has to be statistically teased out. It should be a robust finding under any reasonable meta-analysis.
