The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Day 2 Enhanced Risk. Marking a 45% significant wind threat. A 5% hatched region for a #tornado threat was also highlighted but the main factor will be strong wind. Be sure to have a severe weather safety plan in place! @myradar.bsky.social #weather #severe

The first significant autumn storm is expected to hit parts of western and central Europe over the course of the week. It could be an unusually strong storm for this time of the year. At least that's what the EFI of the IFS indicates. #severe #weather #forecast

Friends, please read & share this piece on how those who most respond to crises of the most #Severe #VerySevere members of our #ME & #LC community are other #Severe folks, and how unsustainable this is. As Sam writes, we need better systems, solidarity, focus on #SevereME.

An international emergency task force is urgently needed for Severe Long COVID and ME crisis cases. Severe advocates are putting themselves at risk. It’s time for advocacy organizations to step up. bit.ly/42fSrue

A person wearing an eye mask and headphones lying on the ground in a public space, holding a sign with information about Severe ME/CFS Awareness Day in English and German. The text reads, β€œThe Sick Times. An international emergency task force is urgently needed for Severe Long COVID and ME crisis cases. By Sam Pearce.”
What many people with Mild and Moderate ME and Long COVID do not understand β€” until it is too late β€” is the terrible progression of energy-limiting disease. The potential deterioration of quality of life is not β€œbad, a bit worse, and then worse again”; it is bad, worse β€” and then you fall off a cliff.
