Strong radar signatures in today's Copernicus #Sentinel1 overpass of Crimea. All those bright diagonal lines indicate something interfering with the satellite radar signal. In this case, ground-based Russian air defence assets.

#Sentinel1-C is in orbit. When can we expect the first data? The commissioning phase is expected to take about 4 months. For Sentinel-1A it took 6 months from launch in April 2014 to become operational in October. Thus, a little more patience may be required. #remotesensing #earthobs

❓ Réponse de l'image mystère : il s'agit de la Guyane française photographiée par le satellite #Sentinel1 du programme #Copernicus. Les couleurs proviennent de la combinaison de deux polarisations de l'image radar, auxquelles une couleur a été attribuée et convertie en un seul composite. 1/2
