The water is completely calm and reflects the sky. On both sides there is dense greenery. Along both sides of the canal there are old paths where boats could once be pulled up to Slussen. Ten years ago they were still free to walk on.

Good morning Wednesday to all friends at Bluesky. Despite the endless work in the #Södertälje Canal, some ships are allowed to pass into Lake Mälaren.

The picture shows a ship that has passed the district heating plant and is now turning into the canal. In front are containers lined up on land and used by the workforce that will widen and secure the edges up to Slussen; also the lock construction, I assume. To the left you can see the boat club with all the sailboats in the water.

Good morning Wednesday to all friends at Bluesky. I walked past Slussen in #Södertälje yesterday and am so deeply tired of all the digging, pounding and building and remember all the years when it was so peaceful and quiet here. So many trips we had here even before I moved to Södertälje.

A pickture from Slussen before all the construction began. The water flows calmly through the greenery and some of Södertälje's typical yellow houses with red tiled roofs are reflected in the water between tall green trees. In the foreground is some of the green lawns that were so inviting to have a picnic.

Good morning Wednesday to all friends at #Bluesky. Today my sister is coming to me from Copenhagen. I look forward to meeting at #Södertälje Syd. Last time the view of the city looked like the picture. Now it has changed a lot.

Ett tjockt molnlager som ändå verkar uppsprickande, ligger över min idylliska hemort #Södertälje. Staden är uppbyggd kring kanalen och var ursprungligen en vacker villastad. Numera en modern industristad. Men fortfarande är allt inbyggd mellan skogsklädda kullar och har mycket grönska kvar mellan husen.

Good morning my friends at #Bluesky It's Monday morning and the height of summer in #Södertälje even though the photo is a few years old. For me, life is returning to normal. How are you?

For twenty years this was my view of #Södertäljekanal. I loved the oak tree that dominated the view and all the greenery that was among all the beautiful old houses.

Good morning from #Torekällberget in #Södertälje. our own open-air museum where part has been built up with old houses from the city and another part contains the country with the animals. Many artisans work in the district and here is an old country store etc.

Good morning Thursday to all friends here and I want to show you an old photo from the view of #Södertälje Canal. A ship appears to be filling the canal, as it glides past under the balcony towards the Mälar Bridge. A red truck passes at the same time on the road between the canal and the house.

Good morning my friends. It's Friday and the rain is pouring down so there probably won't be much of an outing today for my sister and I. Sending a view of #Södertälje as it looks from Södertälje Syd (our long-distance train station).
