My beautiful girl is 13 years old today. She’s had a tough year: she survived a snake bite and surgery, lost her best buddy Kiba, and learned to be friends with new buddy Syra. Happy 1st birthday to Miss Mercie! She spent the first 5 months of her life in a shelter, so we can’t place her actual birthdate. But she was born in July 2025 and her gotcha date was Dec. 28, so we’re celebrating her birthday as July 28. She’s filling the hole left in my heart by Nacho. #rescuedog
