Beatriz Bernal, a 16th-century Spanish novelist, wrote a fantasy novel about a female knight - with dragons, sorcerers, and a giant - decades before Don Quixote appeared. A children's adaptation, devised by children's author Diego Arboleda, is forthcoming! #fantasy #renaissance #earlymodern ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š

'Though completely eclipsed by Don Quixote, Cristaliรกn de Espaรฑa, which was first published in 1545, has a unique claim to fame. Its 800 pages, bristling with swords, sorcerers, dragons and damsels, make up the earliest known work by a female Spanish novelist.' 1/2

โ€œThe overall impression of the floor was originally defined by warm hues of orange and yellow backgrounds, which, combined with the wide palette of blue, red, green, and white, created a bright and cheerful overall effect.โ€
