Titchfield Haven: 7 active(!) Spoonbills, 1 Wood & 5 Common Sandpipers, 5 Dunlin etc + lots of Terns the best today. #PWC2026 Attempted to record a soundscape as it was lovely with all the Terns, but it's surprisingly difficult get a moment of silence in a hide!
4 Spoonbills - large white birds with large bills that are spoon shaped on an island. There are Canada geese nearby which have brown upper parts, buff underparts and black heads. A few terns look tiny in comparison. There are green reeds in the distance and a closer island is vegetated. The islands are labelled D and E
Two Spoonbill feeding in a scrape. There are also some brown ducks

Beautiful day - sun came out! Looking forward to finally giving the local patch more time, and (hopefully) the slow cooker will do its thing for tea ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ™‚ #PWC2026
Sunny day with clear skies. There is a fairly wide (by UK standards) path lined with benches. Next to it is the beach. Not much shingle visible as the tide in.

Lovely start to the day with a calm sea and slightly light after 5pm! Highlights from walks of 44 White-fronted Geese through the Solent and 168+ Great Crested Grebes off Lee-on-the Solent #LowCarbonBirding #PWC2026
Early morning by the sea. There is a little mist - over the road and inland - but it's mainly clear with calm water. There is grass at the top of the slope and a row of black benches. Below is a path and then costal vegetated shingle. Photo looking west where beach huts and trees are visible
Evening Twilight light on the beach. There is shingle and the Isle of Wight is visible. Some of the sky is still yellow orange. There are grey clouds

A two-bird #WestrayBirding #PWC2026 10km year tick with this juv Red-necked Phalarope and a Ruff on the the Loch of Swartmill this evening. AGP still present and looking even less impressive although still stands out like the proverbial sore thumb in the large flock of Golden Plover.

Lovely morning at Titchfield Haven and Hill Head with 2 Slavonian Grebes the best. Still haven't seen the Red-necked Grebe! Reserve very wet, but good flock of Lapwing & plenty of raptors #PWC2026
View looking towards Brownwich cliffs and beach. The cliffs are vegetated and important for insects. The beach is shingle. It is sunny with white clouds. In the distance the industrial landscape of Fawley oil refinery is visible. The sea is fairly flat. There is a black tripod with a straight scope attached to it facing the sea
Two Slavonian Grebes in slightly choppy sea. They are small black and white grebes
