NASA #Perseverance is one step closer in its mission to find signs of fossilised microbial life on Mars with an analysis of the "Poppy seed & Leopard spot" features seen in Mars mudstone from an ancient river valley. Mineral formations like these on Earth are created by marine microbes. 🔭🧪🧵
