Released 10th Nov 1977, the most successful single of Paul McCartney's solo career, "Mull of Kintyre" achieved double the sales of the previous record holder "She Loves You", & went on to sell 2.5 million copies and hold the UK sales record as the best selling single of the 70s. #PaulMcCartney

Of all the famous figures on Paul McCartney's "Band on the Run" album cover, only boxer John Conteh and musician Paul McCartney himself are still alive. All the others have sadly passed away now. #PaulMcCartney #Bandontherun

Tonight, Paul McCartney closed out the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special by singing "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make..." I'm convinced this was his tribute to Chris. #SNL50 #ChrisFarley #PaulMcCartney #SNL

Ram - Paul and Linda McCartney 1971 release / 1971 Winchester pressing #2 Listening to gauge the condition and hoping it’s better than my other copy. I’m also in the mood for a little of both Uncle Albert AND Admiral Halsey. #NowSpinning #VinylCollection #PaulMcCartney

"Mull of Kintyre" was at No. 1 on 5 Dec 1977. It was written by Paul McCartney & Denny Laine in tribute to the Kintyre peninsula and its headland, the Mull of Kintyre. It was Wings' biggest hit & is one of the best selling singles of all time in the UK. #PaulMcCartney #RIPDenny

19 July 1975, Paul McCartney and Wings went to No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Listen To What The Man Said', his fourth US No.1, and No.6 hit in the UK, (the track features Tom Scott playing the saxophone solo). It would go on to sell a million copies in America. #Wings #PaulMcCartney
