NHA have apparently filed as a promoter for NZ First’s campaign (I suspect after they filed the advert). So it looks as I suspected: "here’s our policy, we’ll be the money for the advertising, you run with it".

2. Natural Health Alliance’s full-page advert would have to be filed with NZ Herald earlier in the week, before anyone in the public knew of the NZ First’s policy. In fact, my impression is this was out before NZ First’s own social media posts on it.

Quickly two reasons I suspected it was NHA policy -
1. Make New Zealand Healthy people were clearly reacting after-the-fact. Even though they said they’d presented their "suggestions" to all parties, it obvious they didn’t know NZ First was going to pick this up.

Their industry has a particular ideological viewpoint, particular to the "wellness" industry, with the pseudoscience industry that features.

They may represent an industry, but that doesn’t make them experts in the science. Similarly, the industry players may event _intend_ well, but that doesn’t stop something being pseudoscience or not.

“NHA contacted all parties with their policy - we were the ones that agreed with them, picked it up, and we are campaigning on it”
