My nervous system wants
to climb out of my body.
It’s vibrating, rattling
in the core of my being—

demanding to know
what I intend to do about it.
That there’s nowhere to go.
That there’s nothing I can do
to make anything better now.
That I’m going in alone,
when I can’t—but I have to.

So I need to change my own mind
about what’s possible.

And trust
takes time.

This is important to realize. But it’s equally important to realize that none of it is a life sentence. Healing is possible.

It requires facing those truths—and, perhaps most importantly, recognizing that you’ve been carrying forward patterns that once kept you safe but now keep you confined.

Not because you chose to oppress yourself.

Because your mind learned to protect you the best way it knew how. But what was learned can be relearned.

You can rewire your mind and your stress responses.

You can grow beyond it.

exists

guarding the portal

creation.

The creature stares

captivated

a flashing light.

And in the dark
between,
all of creation asks:

“Are you royalty,

a peasant
in this life?”

And then the kingdom
reveals itself to you
accordingly.
