We used to balance free markets with rules that kept wealth & power from concentrating at the top. As those guardrails weakened, a handful of people & corporations gained outsized influence, leaving the rest of us broke, stressed, & democracy itself under pressure. #Pinks #Neoliberalism

CEO pay has skyrocketed 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker wages rose just 24%. This disparity—fueled by neoliberal policy—has deepened inequality and contributed to declining U.S. life expectancy. And they want more & more while we get less & less. #WealthInequality #Neoliberalism #Pinks

Neoliberalism promised prosperity through deregulation, privatization, and free markets—but for rural Americans, women, Black and Latino communities, and LGBTQ+ people, it delivered precarity, inequality, and exclusion. Click to read more on my Substack. #Pinks #Neoliberalism #WeathInequality

The 1981 Republican tax cuts caused a supply side recession, and #Reagan then raised taxes, mostly on the workers! #Neoliberalism is a social failure!!
image of the Republican Party symbol and Ronald Reagan in the corner with the text that reads never forget that Ronald Reagan tripled the national debt from $738 billion to 2.1 trillion dollars dropped the income tax rate for the top 1% from 70% to 28% sold 500 missiles iran, that 90,000 Americans die of aids, and set into motion the end of mental institutions, creating a massive homelessness crisis that continues to this day.

Neoliberalism has ushered us into the Gilded Cage. The road from neoliberalism to oligarchy—and from oligarchy to fascist flirtation—is not a conspiracy theory. It’s a pattern. My latest Substack article in my series on Neoliberalism. #Neoliberalism #WealthInequality #Pinks

💯 I'm done with critique of solutions without an alternative. We are partly in this mess of #NeoLiberalism and #Fascism due to failure of imagination on alternatives. The left let themselves fall into the enemy's trap. "There is no other choice!", they cry. But there always is, and we must try.

If the argument for why something - literally anything - should not be done, is that it's complicated, and hard, and you don't understand, blah blah, but good on you for caring... that's literally never a good point. It's always a deflection and never engages. It's PR for inertia
