Cats has been revived again but this time things are slightly different at the Jellicle Ball.Lovers of the feline musical will notice a few changes in this production however this is my first time seeing this live so I went in with open eyes and somewhat high expectations.Never one to miss out on a day at this picture purrfect theatre in the glorious sunshine it goes without saying this is a musical that should be seen at night to get the full effect intended.Costumes seem minimalist compared to previous productions but give a dystopian stripped feel, as does the set.Choreography is more contempary than balletic which mirrors Drew McOnies previous productions and feels like a fresh new take on the show.The whole cast are talented and don't miss a beat, however for me Melanie La Barrie (Old Deutronomy) was a stand out and of course Grizabella (played by understudy Taziva-Faye Katsande) is the show stopper as usual with Memory.Overall a good day out in the park with the family if you don't mind a few stray Cats lurking around.⭐⭐⭐⭐#musicaltheatre #londontheatre #westend #westendtheatre #musicals

Camp Broadway 2026 at The Smith Center in Las Vegas

Hundreds of Las Vegas #TheatreKids took to The Smith Center’s stages in July for our annual @CampBroadway festivities! First up, the Shining Stars (ages 7-9) presented “Madagascar Jr.” for friends and family in our Troesh Studio Theater, followed by the MainStage campers’ Family Finale (ages 10-17) in Reynolds Hall the next week featuring their renditions of “Shrek the Musical” and “The Addams Family.” We chatted with returning campers, featured players and former students-turned-staff about their love for Camp Broadway and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
