Having spent all day deep in the weeds on the new TX GOP map, I concur—it's in no way a dummymander. The "bluest" GOP-held district, #TX23, would still have gone for Trump by 15 points.
To put that in context, the reddest Dem-held seat, #ME02, went for Trump by 9 last year.

IMO this is just wishful thinking on the part of Dems. What matters is that the mean shift will be R+5 seats on average, which would tip control in a close race. In the big Dem wave that "breaks" the "dummymander" (that's like a D+10 population vote, BTW), Dems are already winning like 240 seats
