Cats has been revived again but this time things are slightly different at the Jellicle Ball.Lovers of the feline musical will notice a few changes in this production however this is my first time seeing this live so I went in with open eyes and somewhat high expectations.Never one to miss out on a day at this picture purrfect theatre in the glorious sunshine it goes without saying this is a musical that should be seen at night to get the full effect intended.Costumes seem minimalist compared to previous productions but give a dystopian stripped feel, as does the set.Choreography is more contempary than balletic which mirrors Drew McOnies previous productions and feels like a fresh new take on the show.The whole cast are talented and don't miss a beat, however for me Melanie La Barrie (Old Deutronomy) was a stand out and of course Grizabella (played by understudy Taziva-Faye Katsande) is the show stopper as usual with Memory.Overall a good day out in the park with the family if you don't mind a few stray Cats lurking around.⭐⭐⭐⭐#musicaltheatre #londontheatre #westend #westendtheatre #musicals

“Spin Cycle” with Zofia Zerphy and Rhiannon Bell

In the sapphic launderette play Spin Cycle, the washers are loaded and so are the questions. Penned by Zofia Zerphy, Spin Cycle is an absurdist exploration of intense connections, queer memory and lesbian storytelling.
