Charles Eamer Kempe's superb 1901 Hacket Window in Lichfield Cathedral. It commemorates Hacket's arrival as Bishop in 1661 when he found the cathedral partly ruinous, thanks to the Civil War, and set about restoring it. #Photography #Lichfield #StainedGlass

Our green team/DofE volunteers continued hedge planting yesterday. We had a great turnout and they filled all the gaps in the hedge along Falkland Road, from Birmingham Road to Claypit Lane. They also planted Rowan and Crab Apple trees in the empty gaps between runs of bund. #Lichfield #WeDigCanals

At Gallows Reach, our amazing volunteers have made progress on multiple fronts this week. So this will need to be a thread! #WeDigCanals #UKCanals #Lichfield 1. They poured the concrete for the base section and reached the next headwall.

After the valiant efforts of the green and grounds team, Dave has finished tidying Gallows Wharf, and the scaffold steps have gone. Just the steps for Rick the Brick to complete at this far end. #WeDigCanals #Lichfield #UKCanals
A wide towpath canal edge fills the foreground, leading toward a brick bridge in the background. Beneath the bridge are two circular drainage openings. To the right, wooden benches sit beside a dirt‑and‑brick path with planters near a staircase rising to a road with a traffic light and a 40‑mph sign. Trees and bushes frame the scene under a partly cloudy sky.

Our Green and Grounds Team and DofE volunteers were busy yesterday morning giving the towpath along Tamworth Road Narrows a tidy-up. A great job by everyone! #WeDigCanals #UKCanals #Lichfield
