When I first spotted this butterfly a couple of hours ago, the first thing I had to do was stop my hands shaking. It's one of the rarest butterflies in France, a vanishing species in much of Europe. It's the mountain Apollo (Parnassius Apollo). Just in time for #InsectThursday #lepidoptera
