The Force had...feelings. In the texts, Master Lyr Farseeker had written, "There is more to the Jedi than the Force. There is kindness, there is compassion, there is light, and there is love." Love. Love didn't weld and engine back together. It was a word with sharp edges. Rey flinched away from it and back to Poetics of a Jedi.

I love how this is the 2nd piece of SW media that shows that Kylo would have given Rey the throne. Especially when in TROS concept art it's reversed. It's like somewhere down the line the people over at LF were like "Nah. This man worships her, it would be the other way around." 😂 #LegacySpoilers

Upbringing on Jakku. She initially has difficulty forming bonds because she realizes how fragile connections can be and that people can disappear at any moment. Yet we see that when Rey does choose to be vulnerable and let others in, she is at her best and others are too. #LegacySpoilers

She chooses her family of course but it's always been framed in a way where you can't have both. When Rey is looking through the Jedi texts she comes across an excerpt about love and gets flustered by it. Rey herself has difficulty reconciling the idea of "love" because of her... #LegacySpoilers
