Kosmos Energy Announces Second Quarter 2026 Results
Kosmos Energy (NYSE/LSE: KOS) reported second quarter 2026 net income of $185 million or $0.31 per diluted share, and adjusted net income of $68 million or $0.11 per share. Net production averaged ~71,400 boepd, up ~12% year-on-year, with revenue of $607 million at $86.68/boe (excluding derivative cash settlements). Production expense was $179 million or $25.61/boe, about 25% lower than the prior-year quarter, and capital expenditures were $105 million.Kosmos generated ~$175 million in operating cash flow and ~$89 million of free cash flow, reducing net debt by more than $400 million in the first half and ending the quarter with $2.56 billion of net debt and over $500 million of liquidity. The company completed the $127 million sale of its Equatorial Guinea assets, advanced GTA Phase 1 to ~2.65 mtpa gross LNG, lifted nine LNG cargos, and farmed down the Tiberius project, adding a carried capital component and milestone-based consideration.
