Here are some takes on The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Japanese ukiyo-e artist #KatsushikaHokusai, created in late 1831 during the Edo period of Japanese history. With a name like "Katsushika" this was always bound to happen. #cats
The print depicts three boats moving through a storm-tossed sea, with a large, cresting wave forming a spiral in the centre and Mount Fuji visible in the background. A black and white cat sits in the wave like it is a throne.
