A traditional Dungan (Chinese Muslim) architectural style home in the village of Mariinskoye, Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. It was established around 1877–1878 by the Dungan people who migrated to the region fleeing persecution following the Dungan Revolt in Northwest China. The house was built using Chinese methods without a single nail and features clear traditional Chinese architectural design elements, including heavy wooden columns supporting an overhanging tiled roof with exposed structural rafters, blended into the local Central Asian village setting. The building clearly features traditional Chinese architectural elements blended with local construction, notable by its distinct wooden columns supporting a heavy overhanging tiled eave system and carved decorative bracket details beneath the roof.
