Here's a Greater #Coucal (a non-parasitic #cuckoo) seen in NW #Bengaluru this morning—gorgeous, stealthy #birds believed to be a sign of good luck (although I've heard #Kannada stories of its owl-like hoot being a bad omen). Fun fact: they are monogamous & courtship occurs during the monsoon! 🪶
