🤖📊 On Tuesday, I somewhat spontaneously “raged against the machine” at @tuwien.at #Informatics. In short: replacing population surveys with generative AI is a bad idea. On many levels. Still, it's something that is currently being discussed in parts of the polling & market research industry.
I stand behind a white TU Wien lectern in a conference room, speaking into a microphone and gesturing with one hand. I wear a light grey polo shirt and a blue TU Wien lanyard. The audience is visible as blurred silhouettes in the foreground, while a light grey wall and wooden paneling frame the background.

Wide shot of a panel discussion at TU Wien. Andreas Bergthaler, Martin Bichler and I sit in armchairs on the left side of the room, while Melanie Zechmeister stands at a white TU Wien lectern on the right. Audience members are seated in the foreground, facing the panel. A large blank projection screen hangs above the discussion area.

Close-up side view of me at a microphone during a conference presentation. I wear a light grey polo shirt and a blue TU Wien lanyard, with his hands clasped in front of him. The image is framed through a softly blurred foreground, creating a focused view of the speaker against a bright conference room background.
