Fertility care is part of health care. It needs to be included in health policies, services, and financing. The new WHO #infertility guideline helps countries make prevention and treatment available through everyday health services, so more people can plan their futures safely. 🔗bit.ly/4ol6cka

It's been over a year and a half, but hanging our Christmas stockings and seeing the empty space where his belongs is still just as devastating... #grief #loss #infertility
White Christmas stockings hang on a mantle with lighted garland on it. One with a green band says "Becca." The one beside it has a red band and says "Katie." The last hook is empty.

Daily photo. #AmWriting on bogs, bog bodies, death, #photography, preservation (current MFA.) My photo entitled 'Hope' (much needed rn.) From my doc project 'Fallow,' in which I compare myself/my matrescence finally after long-time #infertility struggle to a field left alone to regenerate and heal.
A small white barn or farm shed is lit momentarily by the sun in a field against darkening storm clouds. I call this photograph, 'Hope' and it is part of my series called "Fallow," in which I compare myself and my matrescence after a long period of infertility struggle to a field that has been left alone to heal and become fertile again. Please stop telling people who are grieving the loss of a child or the inability to have a child that they can just foster or adopt. You are dismissing a persons valid grief by suggesting they add another persons grief to the situation Adoption as a thought terminating cliche. #adoption #infertility

They said it, not us...😇 Our "fundamental" and "convincing" study on what evolution can teach us about #infertility is finally out. TL;DR? Check out this primer by @elife.bsky.social to get the lowdown on what we discovered by looking at the past of human sperm. elifesciences.org/digests….

How to build a sperm cell

A shared set of old, deeply conserved genes presides over the development of sperm cells in humans, mice and fruit flies.
